Contributos para a descrição linguística da Língua Gestual Portuguesa: planos morfológico e morfossintático
Resumo
In this text we analyze some similarities and differences between sign languages and oral languages, starting from some recent research. We intend to show that Portuguese Sign Language (LGP) is a natural language in which the combination of the units of the system (the kereme, the sign and the sentence) is carried out by articulating processes of linearity and simultaneity, in a syntactic space with many morphosyntactic, textual and pragmatic potentialities. We will mainly analyze morphological and morphosyntactic areas, related to different types of verbs, their properties and values.
