Resumo

Against the background of the problematic surrounding travel, imbued with a religious and spiritual significance, this article seeks to draw attention to some cases that can be founs in various works that fall under the field of literature of spirituality, especially with hagiographic inclination, published in Portugal, between the XVIth and XVIIIth centuries.
