Resumo
In this article I want to study the baroque sermon in its relation with writing and reading. Although the last result was, fundamentally, an oral and gestual event, at the time of writing the sermons the sacred oratory manuals recommended that people followed different guidelines. Also the manuals insisted in the formation and the study of the preachers on proposing a reading activity based in a certain canon of books presided by the Sacred Scriptures and in a practice of reading associated
