2023 Mazda CX-7 is placed below the larger Mazda CX-9, and the tools did not share platforms

The 2023 Mazda CX-7 is just a mid-size crossover SUV from Mazda and the production version of the MX-Crossport concept car. The 2023 Mazda CX-7 is placed below the larger Mazda CX-9, and the equipment did not share platforms. Instead, Mazda CX-7 used the Ford C1 platform, which formed the cornerstone of the Ford Focus and Mazda3. The 2023 CX-7 was discontinued in August 2012 in favor of the new Mazda CX-5.

The interior is well put together however many materials feel cheap. Hard front seats are generally supportive. The rear seat is not as wide and too low. The optional backup camera is a property but compromises the navigation system radio controls. The tyre of the pre-facelift Mazda CX-7 is distributed to the third-generation Mazda MX-5 and Biante. The Mazda CX-7 2023 variants are fully independent suspension, four-wheel ventilated disc brakes with standard anti-lock brakes, electronic stability control and traction control, and front-wheel drive or 2023 Mazda CX-7 Mazda's all-wheel drive with Active Torque Split. Most versions feature a troublesome turbocharged four-cylinder engine; A non-turbocharged version was available later.

The sporty style of the 2023 Mazda CX-7 carries over into the inner, where the sharp yet functional cabin provides a more visually refreshing ambiance than will be expected from the crossover SUV. The sporty three-spoke tyre is reminiscent of the main one located on the Miata, as the instrument cluster resembles that on the RX-8. Build quality and ergonomics are great, while some may find the positioning of the radio and ac screens unreasonable, as their location above the dash is separated from their respective controls.

Wide hip and headroom keep carefully the 2023 Mazda CX-7 occupants comfortable even though all five seats are occupied. However, a corner legroom isn't on par with this of the key competitors, especially the Forester. Behind the second-row seat is approximately 30 cubic feet of cargo space. The most capacity is approximately 59 cubic meters, that is 10 cubic meters less compared to the class-leading RAV4, Forester and CR-V.

For the Mazda CX-7 power arises from the exact same 2.3 L inline-4 MZR L3-VDT DISI engine utilized in the Mazdaspeed3 and Mazdaspeed6 along with a six-speed Aisin F21 automatic transmission and tuned to create 244 hp or 182 kW (175 kW for the Australian model). 5000 rpm and 258 lb·ft (350 N·m) torque at low 2500 rpm, 99% of maximum torque available at 5000 rpm. The MZR 2.3L DISI turbo engine has been retuned in the North American spec CX-7 to deliver torque at a lower rpm for less turbo lag from the line at the expense of power. This was achieved because of the redesigned, smaller K04 turbocharger. UK specification CX-7s featured the exact same, larger K04 turbocharger and transmission within the Mazdaspeed range. The CX-7 shares the front suspension of the Mazda MPV minivan and the trunk suspension of the Mazda5.

Anti-lock disc brakes, stability control, front-seat side airbags, and 2023 Mazda CX-7 side curtain airbags come standard on all trim levels. In crash testing by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the 2023 Mazda CX-7 performed brilliantly, earning the very best five stars in both frontal and side crashes. Similarly, the Insurance Institute for Mazda CX-7 2023 Highway Safety gave the 2023 Mazda CX-7 the greatest rating for both frontal-offset and side-impact crash durability. In our own braking test, the CX-7s performed excellently for a compact crossover, without slowdowns from 100 km/h at only 113 feet.
